At today’s new product release conference, Google released a new connecting device called Chromecast. The device runs a simplified version of Chrome OS, and can be plugged into the TVâs HDMI port. Under the same Wi-Fi environment, users can push the Youtube videos playing on the phone or tablet onto your TV by the Chromecast.
The Chromecast is two inches long with a price of $35. Users can place an order in the Google App Store today.
Users can press the “Cast” function button on the device to push the video onto a TV, and you also can control the volume, play, pause remotely. Chromecast gets videos through the cloud, so the user can watch the video while other applications run in the background of the device. In the future Chromecast will also support films and TVs of the Netflix and Google Play Store. In addition, users can also push the Chrome interface on the TV and control the browser remotely.
At the press conference Google also said that in the near future they would integrate the Chromecast functions into a variety of devices.
