Recently the “Google Now†live search service and Google’s wearable devices “Google Glass†sweep the world. Now Google is said developing the real-time translation technology. And the “real-time translation†may become the killer app of the Android platform. It sounds good, at least for the people who like traveling to break the language barrier and take the first step towards the talk.
 According to the Times, Android’s product manager Hugo Barra said that Google has been developing real-time language translation technology for the Android platform, and the technology can give accurate real-time national languages translation. For example, for the both sides of a call, one can can speak his native language and then the phone translates the call into the mother language of the other side people.
But in the light of the current accuracy level of Google Web Translate, this technology may take several years to achieve the practical stage. But Hugo Barra said that for some specific languages’ conversion, Google has done nearly perfect. The technology will also be integrated with Google Now, etc. If it can be combined with Google Glass, then a world without language barriers is upcoming.
