Previously a lady flight attendant used the counterfeit charger for iPhone, leading to an electrocution issue. In view of this situation, Apple today introduces an appropriate solution: Hand in the counterfeit charger plus 68 RMB ($11) to redeem the original charger.
Currently an original iPhone 5 charger prices of 149 RMB (about $24.3). In comparison, the service has certain appeal. It is reported that the service is valid from August 9, 2013 to October 18, 2013. To Redeem an original charger  you need to carry your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to Apple Store for a serial number validation.
This year on July 25, Apple announced identification methods of the Apple USB power adapter in its Chinese website.
Apple said in a statement:†Recent reports indicate that some third-party adapters may have design flaws and may lead to security problems. Although not all third-party adapters have problems, we still launch the USB-power-adapter recycling program to allow our customers to obtain a reasonable designed adapter. “
