Panasonic announces new Lumix DMC-GX7 DSLM (Digital Single Lens Mirrorless) of M4/3 system

In Aug. 1, 2013, Panasonic announces its new Lumix DMC-GX7 DSLM of M4/3 system.


  With a new 16 million effective pixel Live MOS sensor without low-pass filter, the new DMC-GX7’s sensitivity range is of ISO 125 to 25600. Although there is little improvement of the resolution of GX7, the sensor’s per unit pixel size has been effectively extended due to the cutting-edge technology. The microlens have also been optimized. The details and resolution under high sensitivity were improved by 10% and 25% respectively compared with GX1.


 


The fastest AF speed of the camera decrease from 0.9s of the previous to the current 0.6s, and it can focus on normally under -4EV light conditions. The maximum continuous shooting speed is up to 4fps in the AF-C mode.  The Lumix DMC-GX7 is equipped with a turnover electronic viewfinder. At the back of the fuselage is a 3-inch, 1040000 painting point capacitive touchable LCD screen that can be flipped.


 


GX7 is made of full magnesium alloy. There are two colors for you to choice, one is silver and black, and one is black. Meanwhile the GX7 is Pansonic’s first DSLM that is equipped with body image stabilization feature. With 100mm equivalent focal length lens, the body can provide about 2-3 degrees anti-shake compensation. The built-in Wi-Fi/NFC function can provide users with convenient wireless control experience.


The GX7 is expected to appear on the market on September 12, and the 20mm f/1.7 II kit price at $1,318.
