It is said that Nvidia continues to enter the tablet market. The tablet may be equipped with its own branded CPU called Tegra. Nvidia trademarked Tegra in May.
Nvidia reported that there was a 71-percent drop, to $52.6 million in revenue from a year ago.
Nvidia values the Tegra line more than its desktop or mobile lines, because in the desktop and mobile markets there are competitors of AMD and Intel. While the situation is not the same in the tablet market, both Intel and AMD are struggling, and Nvidiaâs Tegra line combine ARM-processor technology with its own graphics processor. Now Nvidia has to face that its own Tegra 3 processor competes with Snapdragon 400, 600, and 800 chips, itâs not so good for Nvidia. So it makes sense for Nvidia to launch the Tegra 4 and Tegra 4i.
Hearsay says that the upcoming tablet has a microUSB, a mini HDMI slot and a rear camera. However, the news has not yet been confirmed by Nvidia, and once the tablet is launched, it will be surrounded by the Android camps.
