Surface Pro usher in a substantial price reduction

Following Surface RT price cut, Microsoft recently announced that Surface Pro will also has a lower price worldwide, with $100 down.

  Not all regions of the consumers can enjoy the price discount, according to Microsoft. China’s mainland promotion is effective until August 31, Hong Kong and the U.S. and other markets are August 29, while stock lasts.

 

Surface Pro is equipped with Intel Core i5 processor, 4GB of RAM, with 1920 × 1080 resolution, and its weight is only 0.9 kg. The battery life time is of four to five hours. Surface Pro is configured with front and back camera, with one USB 3.0 port, one micro-SDXC slot, one mini-DisplayPort. In addition, Surface Pro is also equipped with a dedicated stylus.

A few weeks ago, Microsoft has decreased the price of the Surface RT tablet from $ 500 down to $ 350. The Surface RT is meant to compete with the iPad. But for now, Surface RT doesn’t meet the desired market response.

In fact, even if the Surface Pro slashed prices, the price is still not cheap. It also has space for price cuts.

Analyst has pointed out that, Surface Series Tablets have price cuts because it is most likely that Microsoft is clearing its inventory, to pave the way for the upcoming new tablets.
